Harrison Loomis
I often look at the world in front of me as if it was a photograph, if it were frozen in time but never to exist in this exact way again. As a photographer I want to capture things at the height of their expression, the story of an environment, a place, a structure. It takes a heightened sense of meaning and connection to the world to see in this way, and a dedication to craft to photograph in this way.
Beyond my image-making, I enjoy other hobbies that keep me curious like reading and traveling, or inspire creativity like cooking elaborate meals or learning new skills. Inspiration can come from anywhere so I actively work to keep an open mind.
