Trace

Time and space are perceptual constructs, ever shifting between the lazy rivers of relaxation and the frenetic pace of a city’s rapids. Space becomes clay in the body of a camera, morphing, folding, compressing distance to pure surface on film in a cleansed perception of reality. The eternal seconds of an open shutter collect into an instantaneous event that never existed nor will again, yet infinitely repeats and flows within itself. The paradoxical natures of depth and surface, light and dark, individual and community, moment and eternity, the finite and the infinite are unresolvable because their duality is illusion, they construct and define each other only in perception, the presence of the one holds the Trace of the second.
